very much appreciate it if you could call our Senators ASAP to urge them to vote
NO on the Alexander's Senate Amendment 3553. It would directly hurt Bergey
Windpower by removing the proposed small wind turbine tax credit from the Farm
Bill. See message below (we were asked to target Sen. Inhofe).

The
vote is expected later this morning or this afternoon.

The office

NOW!!!

OSN Members,

I am asking for your immediate assistance
with Sen. James Inhofe to help us defeat an anti-small wind amendment to the
Senate Farm Bill that has been introduced by Sen. Lamar Alexander of
Tennessee. Alexander's Sen. Amend. 3553 would strip the residential tax
credit for small wind from the bill. Sen. Alexander dislikes wind power
of all types and believes that providing tax credits for small wind systems
"lacks common sense" and will lead to "12 story towers with blinking red
lights in the front yards of our homes". SA 3553 WILL BE VOTED ON THIS
MORNING.

Please call Sen. Inhofe's office at (202) 224-4721 ASAP and
urge the Senator to vote against SA 3553. Let them know that farmers and
rural businesses support the use of small wind systems and that it is unfair
that Japanese solar modules get a federal tax credit while American small wind
turbines do not. Sen. Alexander's concerns about tall towers in people
yards are addressed at the local level.

Please, please do this.
And if you can arrange a few more call, all the better. Call me if you
have any
questions.

Thanks.

Mike

----------------------------------------
Mike
