Greetings from OKC 1st Church of the Nazarene.
On August the 27th at 6:00 p.m. OKC 1st Nazarene will have panel discussion
on Ecology, Environment, and the Christian Response.
Here is a bit more information:
Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene holds monthly forum discussion to
discuss pressing issues. Our topics have included: "Pacifism and Just War",
"The Sanctity of Life: Is it ever right to take a human life?",
"Immigration", "Poverty" Whose fault is it? What do we do now?" and, "Race
Relations: Why are we still so divided?".
These are not debates but rather conversations about a topic from a
Christian perspective as such there are no winners and there are no losers
but just an exchange of information about important social issues. Each of
these forums works to bring together a wide spectrum of people from the
Christian faith community to dialogue with each other so that we can build
bridges to work together towards peace and justice in the world.
Here are some of the confirmed panelists:
*Dennis Williams-Chair, Department of History, Politics & Geography;
Professor of History Southern Nazarene University

Kristen McCarty-Farmer and RN*
Again the date for this forum is August the 27th which is a Sunday evening.
The event starts at 6:00 and will last until about 7:30 with refreshments
following. OKC 1st Church of the Nazarene is located at 4400 NW Expressway
(Between Portland and Meridian on the south side of NW Expressway.)
I hope you can attend this event as we dialogue about his important issue.
